The Art of Surrender

The term Surrender means to stop fighting the natural flow of things. It means to gain acceptance and to have and lean on faith that things will be okay.  This past year has definitely taught me "The Art of Surrender". I've been put into situations where I've learned to trust the Universe to show me what it wants for me. I've learned to let go and stop stressing over the things that are out of my control. By doing all of the above, I've noticed that my life is much smoother and stress free by allowing things to happen, instead of making things happen. Although I'm a bit of a control freak, I've gotten so much better. So much time and energy has been put into planning, predicting, and preventing things that can't be predicted nor prevented. I have a history of planning things down to a T. Which at times can be a good and bad thing. If I want something, I go for it. Easy Easter Table Setting

Easter is the welcoming of Spring. 🌺 Today's post is part of my Holiday Décor Segment, Easter Edition. Besides decorating my front door and garden for spring, this is my first year decorating inside of my home. I usually just add Spring flowers through out my home to give a renewal feeling. As a child, Easter was one of my favorite holidays growing up. Easter décor, the decorating of eggs, pretty Easter dresses, Easter baskets, Easter egg hunts, and getting my hair laid to the Gods is what comes to mind when I think of Easter. The spring pastels, the candy, and the Easter dinner still makes me so happy.    This year I've partnered with Burke's Outlet in recognition of Easter. You guys know I'm all for celebrating and decorating for all family oriented holidays. I decided to decorate my eat in kitchen area. For this look, I wanted to mix a neutral with a pop of pastels to welcome Spring into my home. I'm really into blush pink right now. So having pink in my spring

March Favorite Things

This past week was truly an eventful one. I traveled to Charleston, attended a college tour, planned my daughters 18th birthday, partnered with collaborations, and blogged...…I've been physically and mentally exhausted and all over the place. However, I loved every bit of it. So many positives and life changing events going on right now for my family and I. There were Milestones reached and beautiful beginnings. I can't be more proud.  Even though my week was rather busy,  I still made time to come up with my March Favorite Things. Jordyn turned 18 which was such a treat. My baby boy Jalen will be 14 on March 19th. Where does the time go???!! I also found a new hydration supplement to add to my regime. Here are my favorite things for March. 💝 Dossier Perfumes Hydration Inner Beauty Boost by The Beauty Chef. I purchased this at Marshalls on sale.
