“I’M SO GLAD I LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE THERE ARE OCTOBERS.” -L.M. MONTGOMERY
Natures glory is so beautiful around this time of year. Our days are now shorter. The sun rises later and sets earlier. A farms nature plays a active role in the setting of the season. My family and I have started our fall season off with a bang. So far, we've visited two farms to celebrate the season change.
First up...... McCaskill Farm. On October 2nd, McCaskill farm hosted their annual family and friends fall festival in celebration of the end of Summer. Although it was still rather warm outside, we had a blast participating in all of the fall outdoor activities. There were hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo with all of the farm animals, a tour of the in ground cellar, a live band, food, and shopping with all local vendors. The very best part of our visit was shopping at the McCaskill store for farm fresh meats, frozen prepared meals, and gifts.
The next stop on our farm hop is Clinton Sease Farm in Lexington, South Carolina. Sease is our favorite visit so far. It's so much to do there for the entire family. The 2021 big corn maze is ridiculous, but fun. It took us almost a hour to escape it. The smaller maze was also a little challenging to escape as well. There's unlimited hayrides, various playground activities for the younger children, a pumpkin patch, and a restaurant on site. The ultimate treat for my fright lovers........Deceased Farm Haunted Attraction.
How are you and your family celebrating the change of the season? Is there a farm visit in your future?
