Miami Travel Essentials

June 29, 2021 WHAT TO PACK FOR MIAMI WHAT TO PACK FOR MIAMI Hi Tribe! I am going to Miami at the end of July to celebrate my 42nd birthday, and thought it would fun to fill you guys in with my 4 day Miami travel essentials. I don't care if its a one night stay or a week, I have a tendency to over pack with EVERYTHING. For this trip, I plan on just taking a carry on. Being cautious about what I pack is a MUST! PLANE ESSENTIALS   Whether I'm traveling by car, train, or plane.....sleep is my main priority. (When I'm not driving of course). My sleep mask, cell phone, I-pad, eyeglasses, magazine, and moisturizer are a must while in the air. Better Homes & Gardens is my go to for home decor and new recipe inspiration these days. It's been a fave of mine now for six months. TOILETRIES & MAKEUP ESSENTIALS   Another bad habit of mine is packing way too much makeup. However for this trip I plan on taking two shades of lipstick and a gloss by Juvia's , my Black Opal

June 2021 Favorite Things

I'm back!!!!  I've been slacking a little with the favorite things segments, but your girl has been extremely busy the past few months. My mom finally retired from the school district as a teacher. Jordyn, my daughter,  just had her senior prom and graduation. And my youngest baby, Jalen David, has been promoted to the 9th grade. Wewwww!!!! I can finally breathe a little before dropping Jordyn off to College. Yea, I'm a little in my feelings with one leaving the nest.  But anyway!!!! Lets just jump right into it!  June's favorite things consist of some new and exciting things. All of which that are now regulars in my day to day and/or lifestyle.  1. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm This is my new favorite makeup remover by far. Clinique has made me a firm believer with this one. Take the Day Off is Clinique’s best selling make-up remover, suitable for all skin types.    A little goes a long way. The full size 125ml container is packaged in a beautiful purple j

Summer Date Night Look

Every woman has gone through being anxious about what to wear for a date. Being in a long distance relationship, my date nights are limited. So when Tay and I are finally together, I definitely take advantage of those nights and moments. What girl doesn't want to look good for their man? The key for me is to look amazing the times we're together, for him to want to see me more when were apart.  Were in full summer mode right now. Although Summer isn't officially here yet, the weather is extremely warm. Whether he and I are headed out for dinner, a movie, brunch, or just for coffee, I love keeping things simple and pretty. During these summer days and nights, a floral dress seems to be my go to look for date nights nowadays. I've never really been a floral print lover, but within the past few months, it has really grown on me. Depending on the date, I tend to dress the print up with wedges, or dress it down with sneakers or flats. To polish the look, i accessorize with c

5 Ways To Nourish Your Skin This Summer

Summer is just around the corner, which means sundresses, swimsuits, shorts, sandals and more. With all the exposure, the effects of the harsh sun can really take a toll on your skin. I love being out in the sun. Sunbathing is my favorite summer activity.  The lord knows how badly I need color to these legs after a cold winter. It gives me the vitamin D that my body craved for all winter long. But too much of anything has its side effects. Prolonged exposure can put you at risk of sun damage and aging. Taking the proactive measures needed in nourishing and caring for your skin, will protect you all summer long. Here are 5 easy ways to nourish your skin all summer long: 1. Make water your best friend . Its VERY important to remember to stay hydrated with the higher temperature weather. Drinking regular water or coconut water will help yo
