Kyrzayda Rodriquez....My Style Icon

Happy Tuesday Tribe!!!

Today I want to re-share my most popular blog post since starting Life&Glamour………..

September 15, 2018

Kyrzayda Rodriquez was someone that inspired so many people around the world, including myself. I was one of her biggest fans, always in the back ground cheering at her success. I began following Kyrzayda’s blog and social media pages mid 2014. She inspired me by her love for fashion, hair, and the love she had for every family members and friend. We never met, but we conversed a few times thru social media. She became a part of my life in a major way. Her love and hustle for what she did truly inspired me.  Because of her, I finally took the leap in starting my own blog.

Over time, she became my inspiration for fashion and more.  I can’t count how many times I’ve screen shot a picture of her to take to my stylist for inspirational hair cuts! She's definitely my hair crush and goal.  I wanted my hair just like hers. My first time running across Kyrzayda was on Pinterest. I found several pixie cuts I thought was so freaking cute!

Kyrzayda took every look and owned it effortlessly. Everything came to her so naturally. Every look I strolled across became a must have.  The more I followed her on Pinterest, the more I began to love her and her style. I remember saying out loud to myself, “ OMG!!! This girl is BAD!!! I love her style. And her HAIR”! She was my vision board for so many fashion concepts and ideas. I’ve actually shopped for many of her looks thru her online boutique.

Following Kyrzayda daily, has also inspired me to complain less and be grateful for the little things in life. You must stop wishing and wanting things that you don’t have, and be more thankful for things you do have. In life, we tend to take things for granted. In the end, we can’t take those material things with us. Live each day to the fullest, as if it was your last. Tomorrow isn’t promised.

Kyrzayda you fought a good fight. You showed so much strength and positivity through it all.  Your faith strengthened and did not astray you. My heart goes out to your daughter, mom, aunt, brother, and the rest of your support group. My Icon, you will truly be missed. All of our hearts are broken to see you go, but you’re in a better place. A place where you no longer suffer. A place without pain.
Only 40 years of age. Rest In Peace beautiful. I pray Instagram never take your page down. Everyday I think of you. Looking for something new or a video blog to come through my news feed. You will never be forgotten. Your style and grace will forever inspire and motivate us. CANCER SUCKS!

This is 44...........The Self-Love Era!

This past July 30th, I celebrated my 44th birthday. I swear, once I turned 35, these birthdays started coming around fast as hell. But I thank the most high for allowing me to see them all. Giving me the opportunity to be here for my beautiful children, as well as my family and close friends.  A part of my brand is encouraging self-love and improvement. Daily I strive to evaluate myself inside and out, as well as where I am in life. After much reflecting, there is a lot that I'm truly proud and grateful for. But there's also things that I must continue to work on daily to enhance my inner being. While there's room for improvement, I also thank my current self for becoming the woman I currently am. I will continue to celebrate all wins in life no matter how big or small. This past year was filled with so many small wins that I've prayed for a long time. We owe it to ourselves to acknowledge and celebrate those wins too. 44 is my era of self-love, my healing of progress ...

RH Rooftop Restaurant Birthday Celebration

This past weekend I celebrated my 44th birthday with close family and friends. My birthday isn't until July 30, (LEO GANG) but due to me being out of town then, I wanted to pre-celebrate with them before leaving. I've heard so much about RH that I just had to see what all the fuss was about. RH Charlotte is a luxury home furnishing store located in South Park's Phillips Place shopping center, with a rooftop restaurant and wine bar.  RH Rooftop was such a vibe!! The ambiance and staff were great. Walking thru the doors on the first floor was such a dramatic entrance. There's 14ft high ceilings with chandeliers and a golden stairwell that leads up to the second and third floors. But of course, I came cute, so your girl took the elevators instead! RH rooftop restaurant is located on the third floor. This restaurant is so glamorous. It's a luxurious greenhouse filled with beautiful waterfalls, chandeliers, and marble tabletops. The restaurant is opened all day for break...
