Surrendering is not an option. You are closer than you think!

The best love is self love. I'm at a point in my life where I'm Loving every single thing about myself. Accepting all things that completes me and makes me whole. Loving where I am at this day and time.   It is never too late to act on the dreams that you have. It may seem like things are moving slowly getting to the point where you want to be. And others may be surpassing you on your journey. But know and trust that things will be ok. Continue to grow. Continue to move to that finish line. So much time and hard work was put into creating something for yourself. DONT YOU DARE GIVE UP!   The day that you give up, could be the day that you're one day away from succeeding. The opportunity could be missed in reaching your dreams. Please don't throw it away.  Stop spending time thinking about failing. Focus more on the things that make things work. Train your thought process by focusing on the end results. If you get tired, take a break instead of quitting. We all hav...

Valentine Lounging With Stella Rosa

It's Something about coming home on a Friday afternoon after a long and exhausting work week, to lounge in a pair of my favorite pajamas, a soft blanket to curl up in, to Netflix and chill with a bottle of Stella Rosa Black. The feeling is so rewarding to me. It gives me something to look forward to at the end of each week. Especially since were still dealing with this pandemic, and really don't have much that we can do. It mentally puts a end to my work week, while setting my weekend mood off  to a great start.  Last Friday I stopped by Total Wine and my local grocery store to stock up on my favorite treats and snacks. I purchased these cute and comfy V-day pajamas from Marshalls. Right now I'm binging  Firefly Lane on Netflix which is hilarious. What about you? What are some of your Friday rituals to end your work week, and start your weekend. And what are your go to series on Netflix right now? 💓

February Favorite Things

I've really been slack y'all with being consistent with my favorite things. And I promise you I will get better with doing so. I haven't blogged my favorite things segment since December. The month of January was filled with so many mixed emotions with this pandemic and life.  There so much going on this year. My daughter is turning 18 next month. She also graduated from High School last month, and going to College this fall. This momma has definitely been in her feelings OK!! There's so much to be celebrated, yet we're so limited to what me can do. I'm craving for normalcy in the worst way. On the other hand, there's entirely so many things to be grateful for that I'm embracing whole heartedly. In the mist of things, I've been able to stay consistent with my self care and skin regime, while getting back into my groove of working out, and giving you guys some great content here on the blog as well as my social media channel. With that being said, h...

Flash Back Friday! My very 1st Blog Post For Life&Glamour

Growth                                                        August 03, 2018 There comes a time in our lives where we must come to terms with growth, out-growth rather. You must change the woman you are to get to places and things we want out of life. In order for this process to take place, we must change things within and also the people around us. Like the saying goes...."You are the company you keep"! This was a issue of mine that I struggled with for years. However, over time, my mindset changed for the better. The woman I was before tolerated a lot of things:  excuses, inconsistency, heartache, drama,  stress, mental abuse, fake friends, the list goes on.  All the above drained the life out me. I woke up one day needing a change for the better.  I knew in order for me to evolve to my higher self, I needed to drop every...

When is the last time you tried a new recipe??! What inspired you to take the Leap?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, my daughter and I have been trying a lot of new recipes. I wanted to cook more at home and eat out less. Whenever I'm in the feeling of wanting to try something new, I immediately start searching on Pinterest. We've been finding some very delicious recipes that wont crack the bank to try.   This past Sunday I had a few of pretty ripe Bananas that I didn't wanna just throw away. I usually make banana bread out of them, but this week I wanted to try something new. When looking for new recipes, I always look for what's rather simple and incorporates some kind of balance with my faves. I came across this very easy recipe for Cinnamon Banana Muffins to try for the family. I focused more on recipes requiring the ingredients I already had at home. I was NOT in the mood to tackle the grocery store. The muffins came out great! They are so delicious. Very moist and packed with so much flavor. Topped in butter and a sweet cinnamon crumble whic...

Powerful Affirmations That Will Change Your Life

Learning how to stay positive while the world is going to shit around us. We're living in a very trying time right now. Dealing with Covid-19 for almost a year now, on top of dealing with political issues, racism, and the deaths of our love ones has really taken a toll on our mental health.  We can't change the things that are happening to and around us. But we CAN control our response and attitudes regarding things.  Focusing on the positives in our daily lives is a must. Even the little things around us makes a huge difference. Start thinking of yourself as a positive person. Kick back all negative thoughts. Focus more on positive outcomes. THINK FIRST, THEN REACT!!!  I can't express this one enough. It's a total game changer.  The most important thing...............be the best/positive version of yourself. Start practicing more Self Care. Talk to yourself daily. Start and end your day by journaling all of the positives of your day. By paying attention to your dai...
