Fall...My favorite time of year!

My favorite time of the year has finally arrived!!!!!! Some call it Autumn. I call it Fall (or pumpkin season).
I will take cool weather over a hot sunny day any time. Some of my loves of fall are chunky comfy sweaters, campfires, hayrides,  football games, boots, fall décor, leaves, pumpkin patches, candy corn, fall scented candles from bath and body works, shorter days, the holidays, the fair, apple cider, and everything PUMPKIN SPICE!! When you start seeing everything pumpkin flavored making an appearance everywhere you go, that's a clear indication that the fall season is approaching.

The scenery is so beautiful this time of year. Sometimes on the weekends, the kids and I get in the car and just drive around, just to look at the trees and landscapes. This time of year is all about family to me. My family and I have many fall traditions.  The cooler temperature brings everyone out. There's family football nights, times where we get together to make some of our favorite homemade soups, THANKSGIVING, camping in the back yard with the kids, and our all time favorite... campfire smores.

There's so many special things that you can buy around this time of year. Starbucks has all of my favorite fall specialty drinks.  The Pumpkin Spice latte, Salted Caramel Mocha, and the Spice Chai latte are my absolute favorites. Bath and Body Works load their shelves with tons of awesome fall scents too. The Marshmallow Fireside line is my favorite. It's nothing like the scent of a campfire on a cool fall day. The scent of the candle is strong and the packaging is beautiful.

Department stores around this time has so many inspiring décor ideas to purchase for your home. Decorating my home for fall is a must! I'm always looking for new things to add to my collection. A few weeks ago, I went to T*j*Maxx and HomeGoods for inspiring decorating ideas. I found some of the cutest things.

I absolutely love every piece I found!! There's a few items that I will be going back to get, that I wish I had gotten while there. After I finish with my decorating, I will take pictures to share with you all.  But for now, if you've already finished with your fall décor, send me your pictures. I will put them up on the blog for display.

Kyrzayda Rodriquez....My Style Icon

Kyrzayda Rodriquez was someone that inspired so many people around the world, including myself. I was one of her biggest fans, always in the back ground cheering at her success. I began following Kyrzayda’s blog and social media pages mid 2014. She inspired me by her love for fashion, hair, and the love she had for every family member and friend. We never met, but we conversed a few times thru social media. She became a part of my life in a major way. Her love and hustle for what she did truly inspired me.  Because of her, I finally took the leap in starting my own blog.  Over time, she became my inspiration for fashion and more.  I can’t count how many times I’ve screen shot a picture of her to take to my stylist for inspirational hair cuts! She's definitely my hair crush and goal.  I wanted my hair just like hers. My first time running across Kyrzayda was on Pinterest. I found several pixie cuts I thought was so freaking cute! ...

This is 44...........The Self-Love Era!

This past July 30th, I celebrated my 44th birthday. I swear, once I turned 35, these birthdays started coming around fast as hell. But I thank the most high for allowing me to see them all. Giving me the opportunity to be here for my beautiful children, as well as my family and close friends.  A part of my brand is encouraging self-love and improvement. Daily I strive to evaluate myself inside and out, as well as where I am in life. After much reflecting, there is a lot that I'm truly proud and grateful for. But there's also things that I must continue to work on daily to enhance my inner being. While there's room for improvement, I also thank my current self for becoming the woman I currently am. I will continue to celebrate all wins in life no matter how big or small. This past year was filled with so many small wins that I've prayed for a long time. We owe it to ourselves to acknowledge and celebrate those wins too. 44 is my era of self-love, my healing of progress ...

RH Rooftop Restaurant Birthday Celebration

This past weekend I celebrated my 44th birthday with close family and friends. My birthday isn't until July 30, (LEO GANG) but due to me being out of town then, I wanted to pre-celebrate with them before leaving. I've heard so much about RH that I just had to see what all the fuss was about. RH Charlotte is a luxury home furnishing store located in South Park's Phillips Place shopping center, with a rooftop restaurant and wine bar.  RH Rooftop was such a vibe!! The ambiance and staff were great. Walking thru the doors on the first floor was such a dramatic entrance. There's 14ft high ceilings with chandeliers and a golden stairwell that leads up to the second and third floors. But of course, I came cute, so your girl took the elevators instead! RH rooftop restaurant is located on the third floor. This restaurant is so glamorous. It's a luxurious greenhouse filled with beautiful waterfalls, chandeliers, and marble tabletops. The restaurant is opened all day for break...
